1.      What does it mean of warning?
verb (used with object)
1.to give notice, advice, or intimation to (a person, group,etc.) of danger, impending evil, possible harm, or anythingelse unfavorable: They warned him of a plot against him. Shewas warned that her life was in danger.
2.to urge or advise to be careful; caution: to warn a carelessdriver.
3.to admonish or exhort, as to action or conduct: She warnedher employees to be on time.
4.to notify, advise, or inform: to warn a person of an intendedvisit.
5.to give notice to (a person, group, etc.) to go, keep at adistance, etc. (often followed by away, off,  etc.): A signwarns trespassers off the grounds. A marker warned boats awayfrom the dock.

A warning means giving information of the danger or unexpected situation that my happen if a person does something. He/she wants that person will be more careful. When we see a snake on a tree, for example, we may shout our friends "Watch out" It means we inform them be careful and to pay attention to the snake.

A warning is usually in the form of imperative, but it may occur with the modal "must" and "should"

1.      Expressions of giving and Responding to warning

Expression of warning :

- Look out!
- Watch out!
- Watch out for_______________________!

Here are other examples of expressing warning.
1.                  Your little sister wants to cross the busy street. Then you warn her to cross carefully by saying,"Mind the traffic!"
2.                  There is a long wire connected to the computer. At present you are using your computer and your little brother is playing a toy car behind the computer. You see what he is doing and warm,"Dont touch the wire!"
3.                  There is blackout in the neighbourhood. A father lights a lantern and puts it on the table. His son is amazed and plays with the lantern. When the father sees, he warns,"Keep away from the fire!" or "Don't play with the lantern!"
4.                  You are walking on the pavement with your friends in the rain. Suddenly you see a big hole on the pavement. You want your friends by pointing at the hole and saying,"Look out!"
5.                  In the zoo, many cages of wild animals are applied with a warning board saying,"Beware of the wild animals!"

ü  Giving Warning

We can use this way to warn someone or more about something that will happened. Some of the ways are just like giving commands to the others.
Examples of the structure:
a.Be careful, or you’ll...
b.Watch out, you might be...
c. Do not ...

Examples:
a.Be careful, or you’ll break my porcelain.
b.Watch out, you might be killed.
c.Hey! Those rocks upside are slippery, move away before it drop down to you!

ü  Responding to warning
Examples :
·         Talking or writing about suicide or death
·         Giving direct verbal cues, such as "I wish I were dead" and "I'm going to end it all"
·         Giving less direct verbal cues, such as "You will be better off without me," "What's the point of living?", "Soon you won't have to worry about me," and "Who cares if I'm dead, anyway?"
·         Isolating him- or herself from friends and family
·         Expressing the belief that life is meaningless
·         Giving away prized possessions
·         Exhibiting a sudden and unexplained improvement in mood after being depressed or withdrawn
·         Neglecting his or her appearance and hygiene
·         Dropping out of school or social, athletic, and/or community activities
·         Obtaining a weapon (such as a firearm) or another means of hurting him- or herself (such as prescription medications)


2.      Example of the dialog:
Andi : Hello, man. What are you doing here?
Zaki : Hello, too.Well, I’m repairing whole of thishouse. There are so much rusts on it. So, be careful with the things in this house.
Andi : Is that so? This fence looks in good condition.Let me push it harshly.
Zaki  : Hey pal, move out! That fence is...
Andi : Huh? Whaa!...*wham*...
Zaki : See? I’ve warned you. Don’t touch that fence.It’s still unnailed.
Andi  : Argh... Darn it. You’re so late in warning someone.
Zaki : Stop blaming me. You’re just adding more job for me to repair whole of this house. Now get the hell out of here. Shoo, shoo!
Andi : I don’t need your command, just shut your hole and eat your own work. I’m out of here.
Zaki : Yeah... See you in hell.
3.      What do you think about the activity during the lesson?

I think the lessons taught by the revelation Miss Wahyu very useful and easy to understand for us, teaching and patient disposition worthy giving appreciation, I hope miss can teach us another revelation not as ppl but as a permanent English teacher at our school…
